When you create a game you are given the option if the game should be 'publicly' listed. This means that:

  • The game may be listed on the homepage as a featured game (TODO)
  • The game may be listed on other areas of the website (TODO)
  • The usernames of the game participants (not emails) will be visible. Unless overridden in the users profile. (TODO)

When you are creating a game you are provided some different options for the board. You can read a detailed breakdown of the differences here.

Q: Is this website free? will I ever have to pay money?

This website is currently provided free of charge and there are no limitations on accounts. There is undoubtedly a commercial viability to a website such as this and there will be a transition at some point to move to a subscription model.

However that being said; even with a future subscription model there is an expectation that users will be able to play games for free to some extent. That is yet to be decided.
